Join Professor Darren Crayn, Director of the Australian Tropical Herbarium on a scenic and informative guided bush walk from Cherry Tree Bay to the Cooktown Botanic Gardens. Learn about the botanical species that were collected by Banks and Solander during their time in Cooktown back in 1770.
Walking track is approximately 2.6km. A moderate level of fitness is required, with some steep inclines and declines.
Please bring/wear sturdy, closed in footwear, hat and water bottle.
Please meet at the car park at the Cooktown Botanic Gardens at 7.45am for transport via bus to the start of the walking track. The walk will conclude at the Cooktown Botanic Gardens.
