What a weekend! The 2026 Cooktown Discovery Festival brought our community together for three incredible days of entertainment, culture, history, food, markets and family fun.
The festival attracted some of the biggest crowds seen in years, with an estimated 800 people attending Friday night’s festivities and approximately 1,500 people joining us on Saturday evening. From live music and cultural performances to community events and festival favourites, the weekend was a fantastic celebration of everything that makes Cooktown special.
