Designed to be more vibrant, user-friendly, and packed with information, the new website is the central hub for everything festival—making it easier than ever for locals and visitors alike to plan their Discovery Festival experience.

From program highlights and event details to registrations and updates, the refreshed platform brings the energy of the festival to life and sets the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable 2026 celebration.

Big names, big energy

This year’s festival is already turning heads, with Australian rock favourites Kingswood announced as the headline act for the free Saturday night concert—guaranteeing a high-energy performance that will draw crowds from across the region and beyond.

Community participation is at the heart of the Cooktown Discovery Festival, and several much-loved events are now officially open for entries:

• Cook Shire’s Got Talent – showcasing the incredible local talent across the region
• Street Parade Floats – a vibrant celebration of creativity, colour, and community spirit
• Busking Competition – bringing live music and entertainment to the streets of Cooktown
