Lace up your runners, Cooktown’s most scenic run is back!
Hosted by Cooktown and District Little Athletics, this event is all about getting outdoors, moving your body and enjoying a great morning with the community during one of the Cooktown’s biggest weekends of the year.
Whether you’re keen to tackle the famous Grassy Hill climb, join the kids for a fun dash, or simply get involved with family and friends, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The Big Run for Little Athletics will be held on Saturday 20 June 2026 from 7AM to 10AM, starting from the corner of Charlotte and Walker Streets in Cooktown.
Races:
4km Goliath of Grassy Hill – a tough climb with epic views at the top.
2km Fun Run – perfect for all ages and fitness levels.
1km Kids Dash, a fun run just for the little ones.
